EAU has launched a new Master of Arts program in Alternative Mental Health Services via distance learning. The program focuses on
approaching persons undergoing emotional distress and developmentally
different persons through a humanistic paradigm outside of the
biopsychiatric model. It currently consists of four modules and a
thesis.

The goal of the program is to train professionals who will look towards integrative, holistic, and humane approaches towards reaching distressed and developmentally different persons. The program is not designed to meet any licensure requirements.

The program will be led by Dr. Dan L. Edmunds, who is well known as a lecturer and author in the field of alternative and drugless approaches to mental health issues. Other faculty assigned to the program include Victor J. Manocchio, LCSW, and Maya Winddancer Noble, LAc, who are both experienced practitioners in this area.
Graduates of the program will be eligible to pursue board certification with the American Alternative Medical Association, which accredits EAU. The AAMA is a private, non-governmental accrediting association specializing in alternative medicine.
